Built Around Learning That Actually Sticks

Neuronest started with a simple question: what does it feel like to genuinely understand AI, not just finish a course?

About Neuronest

A School Shaped by Learners, Not Trends

Neuronest opened in Chiang Mai in 2021, initially as a small study group meeting weekly at a co-working space on Nimmanhaemin Road. The founders โ€” a data engineer and a former university teacher โ€” had both spent years watching people drop out of online AI courses halfway through, frustrated and unsure what they were missing.

The pattern they noticed was consistent: courses moved too fast, feedback was automated, and there was no clear thread connecting one topic to the next. So they built something different โ€” a layered approach where each concept is a foundation for the next, with a human mentor available at every step.

Today, Neuronest runs three structured tracks serving learners across Southeast Asia and beyond. The school remains small by choice โ€” keeping mentor-to-student ratios low so that the quality of guidance stays genuinely useful.

Our Mission

To give people a clear, supported path into AI and machine learning โ€” one that respects their time, their questions, and the pace that works for them.

Our Approach

Layered, practical, honest. We build tracks so each lesson prepares you for the next. We use real projects and real feedback. We don't make promises about outcomes we can't control.

Based in Chiang Mai

Our office and learning hub sits on Nimmanhaemin Road in the heart of Chiang Mai's creative and tech community. Many of our mentors live and work in the city alongside learners from across the region.

The Team

The People Behind Neuronest

A small, dedicated group of educators, engineers, and learners who care about doing this work carefully.

ST

Somchai Thongkham

Co-founder ยท Data Engineer

Built data pipelines at scale for five years before realising he'd rather teach than build. Now designs the core technical curriculum and reviews student projects.

AP

Aranya Petcharat

Co-founder ยท Learning Designer

Spent eight years teaching mathematics at university level before moving into online education. Leads the curriculum structure and shapes how content is sequenced and paced.

KW

Kanya Wattanawong

Lead Mentor ยท ML Practitioner

Works as a machine learning practitioner during the day and leads mentor sessions for the Neural Networks and Mentorship tracks in the evenings. Known for clear, direct code feedback.

Standards

How We Keep Quality High

Our quality standards aren't policies โ€” they're habits built into how we work every day.

Human Mentor Reviews

Every assignment in the paid tracks receives a written review from a qualified mentor โ€” not automated grading. We check understanding, not just output.

Curriculum Updated Regularly

The AI field moves fast. We review course content quarterly and update examples, tools, and reading materials to reflect what practitioners are actually using.

Data Privacy First

We collect only what we need, store it securely, and never share learner data with third parties for advertising. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Honest About Scope

We're clear about what our courses cover and what they don't. If a learner's goal is outside our scope, we say so rather than overpromise.

Community Moderated

Our community spaces are actively managed so they remain helpful and welcoming โ€” not a place where beginners feel awkward asking basic questions.

Satisfaction Tracked

Every learner who completes a track receives a short feedback form. We read every response and use it directly to improve the next version of the course.

What Drives Us at Neuronest

AI education has a tendency to prioritise speed over understanding. You complete modules, tick boxes, and come away with a credential but still feel unsure when you sit down to work with real data. At Neuronest, we've tried to build something more durable than that.

Our three tracks โ€” from introductory data fundamentals through to deep learning projects with mentor sessions โ€” are designed so that each stage of understanding supports the next. We're a machine learning school, but we think of ourselves first as a learning environment: the kind where questions are welcomed, progress is visible, and the work itself is satisfying.

Chiang Mai is a thoughtful place to base a school like this โ€” a city that draws people who want to do focused work in a comfortable setting. We're proud to be part of that community, and we're glad you're here.
